The following beaches provide either a stable surface to allow easier access to the waterfront, a beach access chair (a lightweight all-terrain wheelchair that can also go into the water) or both.
Bay City State Park
This beach offers an accessible walkway down to the waterfront (seasonally).
This park also has a beach wheelchair that is available for use year-round.
Brighton Recreation Area
This beach offers an accessible walkway down to the waterfront.
This park also has a beach wheelchair that is available for use.
Dodge #4 State Park
This beach offers an accessible walkway down to the waterfront.
Fort Custer Recreation Area
There is an accessible walkway down to the waterfront.
Grand Haven State Park
This beach offers an accessible walkway down to the waterfront.

Harrisville State Park
There is water access from the campground with an accessible walkway.
Hoffmaster State Park
There are two beach wheelchairs available to borrow (call the park or check at the contact station).

Holly Recreation Area
This beach offers accessible walkways to the beach house and beach. At this time, there are no accessible mats into the water.

Kent Lake beach offers an accessible walkway down to the waterfront.

There is an accessible walkway down to the waterfront in the Lake Michigan day-use area.
There are beach wheelchairs available to borrow in both the Lake Michigan and Hamlin Lake day-use areas.
McLain State Park
This beach offers an accessible walkway down to the waterfront.

Metamora-Hadley Recreation Area
This beach offers an accessible walkway from the concession stand to the beach, and across the beach down to the waterfront.

South Higgins State Park
There are two accessible beach mats to the water’s edge available in the park, including one in the day-use area (near the park store) and one near the east loop of the modern campground.
Two beach wheelchairs are available to borrow by calling the park or visiting the campground office.
Tawas Point State Park - unavailable
The walkway is not available at this time due to high water.
Traverse City State Park
There is an accessible walkway down to the waterfront.

Warren Dunes State Park
There are three accessible walkways between the day-use sidewalk and water.
There are two beach/aqua wheelchairs available to borrow at the ranger station.
Wilderness State Park
There is an accessible walkway down to the waterfront.
