Hours for the Sault Ste. Marie customer service center are changing to three days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) on July 1.
DNR to reduce public walk-in hours at Sault Ste. Marie Customer Service Center starting July 1Our customer service centers are strategically located around the state to be accessible by all. Most locations operate Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. They are walk-in friendly for many services, such as license purchases and questions regarding natural resource management.
Even though many of our services are available online, customer service centers provide in-person help on more complex or specialized cases. If you are seeking to register for a permit or service that isn’t common, such as a disability permit, matrix of rules for ORV or guidance on hunting regulations, visiting a center could make the process easier and faster.
Because each office covers a broad geographic area, it may help to call ahead to confirm availability of the specific service you need, especially if you require a test or specialized permit.
Customer service centers are also points of contact for our divisions such as wildlife, forestry, fisheries and law enforcement.
