Accessible Mini Cabins
Mini-cabins are one room cabins designed to sleep up to four people and are located within modern campgrounds near restroom facilities (exception: Leelanau). Structures provide electricity but no plumbing. Site amenities include: parking, picnic table, grill and /or a fire ring. In the off-season, restroom facilities are provided with vault toilets and drinking water with hand pumps.
Accessible Camper Cabins
Camper cabins are three room cabins designed to sleep up to six people and are located within a modern campground near restroom facilities. Structures provide electricity but no plumbing. Site amenities include; parking, picnic table, grill and / or a fire ring. In the off-season restroom facilities are provided with vault toilets and drinking water with hand pumps.
Accessible Rustic Cabins
Rustic cabins are various sized cabins, located in isolated areas accommodating two to twenty-four people. Most of these cabins have either wood or propane heated with no electricity. Site elements include picnic table, fire ring and or grill, with nearby vault toilets and hand pumps/or pressurized spigots.
Accessible Lodges
Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park lodge - Sleeps 12
The lodge sleeps 12 with 1.5 bathrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen and a laundry room. The lodge offers all the conveniences of home in a rare, private location overlooking Lake Superior.
Cheboygan State Park lodge - Sleeps 8
The Cheboygan State Park Lodge is a 3 bedroom, 1 bath, ADA accessible ranch style house.
Fayette Historic State Park lodge - Sleeps 10
This lodge will sleep up to 10 people and includes two full-sized beds, one single bed, a futon and one queen-sized bed. All linens, towels and kitchen implements are included
Tahquamenon Falls lodge - Sleeps 8
The Tahquamenon Falls Lodge features 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, sleeps up to 8 people.
Accessible camping options: Access to site elements meet the Americans with Disabilities Access Guidelines (ADAAG) for building and slope requirements and the Recommendations for Accessibility Guidelines - Outdoor Developed Areas for the number of sites offered. Access routes, connecting elements at modern campgrounds, mini cabins, and camper cabins are surfaced with concrete or blacktop material. Semi modern, rustic and rustic cabins have access routes surfaced with firm gravel, limestone or slag. Equestrian, group and organization campgrounds have access routes surfaced with firm gravel, limestone, slag or natural soil.
