Urban and Community Forestry Council

About the council

The council is a volunteer organization that works to advance the conservation and maintenance of urban forests throughout Michigan. The council assists and advises the DNR’s urban and community forestry program, promoting, recognizing and supporting effective and sustainable urban and community forestry throughout the state. We work in partnership with all sectors to address local urban forestry issues by bringing together professionals, educators, volunteers, and representatives of government, industry and the general public.
