DNR staffed ranges with accessible features

Our shooting ranges offer a fun, safe shooting environment with customer-friendly and highly trained employees. They feature accessible amenities like handgun, rifle, shotgun and archery ranges, and restroom facilities.

Bald Mountain (Oakland County)

Accessible features include:

  • Accessible parking spaces.
  • Accessible pathways.
  • Accessible shooting stations.
  • Accessible modern restrooms.
  • Accessible trap/five-stand shooting stations.
  • Accessible sporting clay ranges.
  • Accessible clubhouse (large, open meeting room and store).

Dansville (Ingham County)

Accessible features include:

  • Two van-accessible parking spaces.
  • Accessible pathways.
  • Accessible shooting stations – four at 100 yards, three at 50 yards, three at 25 yards, two at 10 yards.
  • Accessible vault toilet building.

Island Lake (Livingston County)

Accessible features include:

  • Accessible parking spaces.
  • Accessible pathways.
  • Accessible shooting stations.
  • Accessible modern restrooms.
  • Accessible trap/five stand shooting stations.
  • Accessible sporting clay ranges.
  • Accessible clubhouse (large, open meeting room and store).

Lapeer (Lapeer County)

Accessible features include:

  • Accessible concrete parking and paths to shooting structures.
  • Accessible portable toilet.
  • Accessible shooting stations – three at 10 yards, five at 25 yards and three at 100 yards.

Ortonville (Lapeer County)

Accessible features include:

  • Three accessible parking spaces (two van).
  • Accessible pathways.
  • Accessible shooting stations – six at 200 yards, six at 100 yards, six at 50 yards, four at 25 yards, four at 10 yards.
  • Four accessible trap range stations.
  • Accessible pathway archery range featuring six stations.
  • Accessible modern restrooms.

Pontiac Lake (Oakland County)

Accessible features include:

  • Twelve accessible parking spaces; four (two van) accessible spaces near the handgun/rifle ranges and eight (four van) accessible spaces in the main parking lot area.
  • Accessible pathways.
  • Accessible shooting stations: station #1 on the 100-yard range, station #16 on the 50-yard range, station #27 and #34 on the 25-yard range and 10 accessible stations on the 10-yard range.  
  • Accessible four-lane archery range.
  • Ten accessible trap range stations.
  • Accessible modern restrooms.

Rose Lake (Clinton County)

Accessible features include:

  • Six van-accessible parking spaces.
  • Accessible pathways.
  • Accessible shooting stations – 10 at 100 yards, 10 at 50 yards, 10 at 25 yards, five at 10 yards.
  • Eight accessible trap range stations.
  • Accessible archery lift.
  • Accessible modern restrooms.
  • Accessible meeting rooms (accommodate up to 80 people).

Sharonville (Jackson County)

Accessible features include:

  • Six van-accessible parking spaces.
  • Accessible pathways.  
  • Accessible shooting stations – 10 at 100 yards, 10 at 50 yards, 10 at 25 yards, four at 10 yards.
  • Accessible pavilion.
  • Accessible four-lane archery range.
  • Eight accessible trap range stations.
  • Accessible modern restrooms.

The following are unstaffed DNR shooting ranges with accessible features:

Algonac (St. Clair County)

Accessible features include:

  • Accessible parking space (van).
  • Accessible pathways (concrete).
  • Accessible shooting stations – four at 10 yards.
  • Accessible trap range – six stations.
  • Accessible rustic restrooms at range and accessible modern restrooms within park.

Barry County

  • All-accessible shooting range, with target shooting for handguns and rifles and sporting clay shooting.

Echo Point (Allegan County)

Accessible features include:

  • One accessible parking space (van).
  • Accessible pathways (aggregate).
  • Accessible shooting stations – four at 100 yards, four at 25 yards, four at 10 yards.
  • Accessible rustic restrooms.

Skogland-Erickson Shooting Range (Marquette County)

  • Offers an accessible shooting opportunity, with pistol and rifles shooting stations at various distances and areas for shotgun and archery shooting.

Supply Road (Grand Traverse County)

Accessible features include:

  • Two accessible parking spaces (van).
  • Accessible pathways (concrete).
  • Accessible shooting stations – three at 100 yards, three at 50 yards, three at 25 yards, three at 10 yards.
  • Accessible rustic restrooms.
