Northern Lake Michigan Islands Collaborative

About the Collaborative

The Northern Lake Michigan Islands Collaborative is a diverse group of island residents, local, tribal, state, and federal governments, other state agencies, universities, user groups, non-government organizations and individuals. In this approach to state land management, partnerships and shared governance responsibilities strengthen decisions related to ecological and cultural resource management on the islands. The benefit is increased communication, collaboration and sharing of resources to work toward the goals outlined in the management plan for state-owned lands on northern Lake Michigan islands.
