In July 2026, the Governor signed Public Act 45 of 2026 into law, permitting Michigan to begin the process of participating in the Physician Assistants Licensure Compact. Pursuant to the law’s timeline, the Bureau does not expect the compact’s privilege to practice process to begin in Michigan until early 2028. Please monitor this webpage for additional information and updates.
