The Acute & Continuing Care and Support Division performs federal certification regulatory duties for health care facilities and programs participating in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Activities include assisting providers and suppliers with initial Medicare certification, routine inspections, complaint investigations, and a host of other regulatory duties. Additionally, the division assists with processing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests that involve a Medicare survey or certification action.
