The Building Unit is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the Michigan Building Code and the structural provisions within the Michigan Residential Code by performing plan review inspections and issuing certificates of occupancy. This unit also follows up on violations of the Michigan Building Code and assures proper building permits have been issued.
