Due to the unavailability of classes licensees may have difficultly fulfilling their one continuing education hour in state specific laws and regulations. The Michigan Board of Nursing Home Administrators is currently in the process of amending the rules to eliminate this requirement. In the meantime, if you renew your license and are later selected for a continuing education audit, completing state specific laws and regulation will not be subject to audit. In addition, when renewing your license, it is appropriate for licensees to attest that they have fulfilled the continuing education (CE) requirements in accordance with the Michigan Public Health Code and Administrative rules for your profession.

** We are no longer accepting paper applications for Nursing Home Administrator Licenses. You can apply online at www.michigan.gov/miplus. Our online system provides more efficient services to those applying for a Nursing Home Administrator license. If you are having problems completing the application process, please contact us at 517-241-0199 for assistance and we can help walk you through the process. In an effort to reduce the use of paper, effective January 1, 2022, licenses issued or renewed will only be sent electronically unless a paper copy of the license is requested during the application or renewal process.
