License Renewal Information

Renewal Requirements
In order to consider an application complete and to avoid delay of processing, the following documents must be uploaded as part of the application:

Submit a “Professional Investigator Agency Renewal Application” in MiCLEAR.

Submit documentation showing the entity is active from Michigan’s Corporations Division (Articles of Incorporation, Articles of Organization, etc.)

Select any branch licenses you would like to renew at the same time, if applicable.

Submit a surety bond or certificate of insurance pursuant to MCL 338.829(1).
Renewal Fee

Professional Investigator Agency Renewal Fee $300

Professional Investigator Agency Branch Renewal Fee $125 (if applicable)
Late Renewal Period

This license does not have a late renewal period.
License Expiration

Every 3 years at the end of the month of the issuance of the initial license.
