Mortuary Science Resident Trainee Initial License

Submit a "Mortuary Science Trainee" Application through MiCLEAR.

In order to consider an application complete and to avoid delay of processing, the following documents must be uploaded as part of the application: 

• Resident Trainee Sponsor Approval Certification

• Social Security Number Affidavit for Licensure (If you have a social security number and did not provide the number during registration, OR if you are exempt under law from obtaining or disclosing your social security number.)

• The sponsor must not already have a trainee listed under their license. If the sponsor does have a trainee listed, it will not let you use that sponsor.

• The sponsor must have held a mortuary science license in Michigan for at least 5 years.
