MiUI Minute: Issue 15
January 15, 2026
The Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA) is transitioning to a new tax and benefits system called MiUI, which will replace the current Michigan Web Account Manager (MiWAM). In this issue of the MiUI Minute, we’re providing information on what stops in MiWAM and when, as well as a reminder about the upcoming deadline for fourth-quarter wage reporting and payments.
What Stops in MiWAM and When?
Actions in MiWAM will begin to be phased out in preparation for the launch of MiUI. The Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA) has developed a schedule that outlines when certain services will become unavailable to users in MiWAM. The schedule also provides directions on how you might be able to still complete those processes outside of MiWAM in the lead-up to the launch of MiUI. Please review the schedule to learn how, when, and where certain unemployment insurance tasks need to be performed.
Fourth Quarter Wage Reporting and Payments Reminder!
Employers and third-party administrators (TPAs): Don’t forget! Your quarterly unemployment tax and wage reports for the fourth quarter of 2025 are due by the close of business on Monday, Jan. 26, in MiWAM.
Need help?
Visit the Employer Help Center or contact the Office of the Employer Ombudsman at 855-484-2626 (Option 4), Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
