COVID Information

Federal OSHA's COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard for Healthcare 1910.502 (ETS1)

Technically, federal OSHA has not rescinded their COVID-19 healthcare rules (29 CFR 1910.502) and MIOSHA has not rescinded Part 505, Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Healthcare. However, from December 27, 2021 until February 5, 2025, the only rules that federal OSHA and MIOSHA were enforcing under these standards for healthcare employers included that they must maintain and make available a COVID-19 log (paragraphs 502(q)(2)(ii) and (q)(3)(ii)-(iv) and must report all COVID-19 related fatalities and hospitalizations (paragraph 502(r)). Pursuant to a notice from federal OSHA, effective February 5, 2025, until further notice, there will be no enforcement of Part 505, Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Healthcare.
