Department of State suspends license of Monroe vehicle dealership

SOS SealNOVEMBER 22, 2019

MONROE – The Department of State has suspended the license of a Monroe vehicle dealership for failing to provide dealership records for inspection as required by law.

Ultimate Auto Sales of Monroe Inc., 6366 N. Telegraph Road, Suite 2, owned by Paul Francis Jr., was served with a summary suspension Nov. 20 after two failed attempts to inspect the dealership’s records. During both attempts, the regulation agent found the business locked with no one on the premises.

The inspections were triggered as a result of complaints from three customers who had purchased vehicles but were never given the title. One customer finally did receive a title, but the other two complaints from September remain unresolved.

The summary suspension is in effect until Francis presents the required records for inspection. Analysts are waiting for him to contact the department to schedule an appointment. Francis also may request a hearing if he believes there are mitigating circumstances that could affect the outcome of the case.
Consumers who have a complaint against Ultimate Auto Sales of Monroe are encouraged to call the Office of Investigative Services automotive complaint line at 517-335-1410.
