Secretary of State Mobile Office to visit Grand Rapids auto show
A visit to the Michigan International Auto Show in Grand Rapids not only means customers can learn the latest about cars and trucks, but they also can renew license plate tabs and driver’s licenses, Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson announced today.
“The Secretary of State Mobile Office provides most of the services of a brick-and-mortar office, making it easier for you to complete transactions while on location,” Benson said. “You can celebrate the latest innovations from the automotive industry and then order new plates for your own automobile, without leaving the room.”
The show begins Thursday, Jan. 31, and runs through Sunday, Feb. 3, at DeVos Place, 303 Monroe Ave. NW in Grand Rapids. The show is presented by the Grand Rapids New Car Dealers Association and features new sedans, trucks, SUVs, hybrids and sports cars from manufacturers from around the world.
Customers visiting the Secretary of State display in Exhibit Hall A also will be able to change their address, update their voter registration and sign up on the Michigan Organ Donor Registry. The Mobile Office hours are:
- Thursday, Jan. 31 – 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
- Friday, Feb. 1 – 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
- Saturday, Feb. 2 – 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
- Sunday, Feb. 3 – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
