Secretary of State office in Battle Creek to be closed March 25 to 29 for move to new location

Customers urged to go to ExpressSOS.com or an alternative office

The Secretary of State Calhoun County Plus office at 2545 Capital Ave. SW in Battle Creek will close at the end of the day Friday, March 22, to move to a new location.

During the closure, which will be from March 25 to 29, customers are encouraged to complete their transactions online at ExpressSOS.com or visit another branch office.

The Calhoun County Plus office will resume normal service at 9 a.m. Monday, April 1, in its new location at 5420 Beckley Road, Suite L, Battle Creek.

Customers and staff will benefit from the relocation, which will provide easier access to the building, better parking and a larger lobby.

Most license plate types can be ordered or renewed online at ExpressSOS.com thanks to a computer upgrade that was completed in February. Driver’s license permits and registrations for vehicles, motorcycles, snowmobiles or boats may be printed, allowing motorists to drive legally until they get their renewed driver’s license or plate and tab in the mail. Additionally, customers may order a duplicate registration or title, change their address and register to be an organ donor at the website.
