Secretary of State office in Rochester Hills to close for remodeling until March 13

ROCHESTER HILLS – The Secretary of State office in Rochester Hills will be closed for two weeks for a remodeling project, but most residents can go online to instead for their transactions.

The office at 2250 Crooks Rd. will not open Monday, Feb. 27, and will resume normal service at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 13.

Renovations include changes to the counter, new carpet and a fresh coat of paint. Electrical updates also will be done as part of the project.

Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson’s administration has doubled the number of services available online and now most transactions can be done from computer, tablet or mobile phone.

Self-service stations are available for instant registration, driver’s license and ID renewals, as well as some other transactions. There are machines located in Meijer stores at 3175 S. Rochester Rd. and 3610 Marketplace Circle in Rochester Hills and the Kroger store at 65 S. Livernois Rd. in Rochester Hills.

Residents who need to come into an office for Secretary of State services during the remodeling period may schedule their visit at the next closest offices at or by calling 888-767-6424. The nearest offices are located at 1111 E. Long Lake Rd. in Troy and 1270 Pontiac Road in Pontiac. Both offices are open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., except Wednesdays, when the hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
