Oil and Gas Lease Auction Held May 2, 2023:
A total of 76,242.38 acres of state-owned oil and gas rights were offered for lease. There were 11 successful bidders out of 11 registered. A total of 43,761.72 acres bid on are proposed to be leased within 11 counties.  Of the total acres bid on, 21,736.73 acres are classified as development and 22,024.99 acres as nondevelopment. Net revenue generated at the auction was $714,448.38.
