Commercial Meat Processing
Commercial Meat Processing
All commercial meat processing operations in Michigan are required to register and obtain a free permit. This permit will be issued in order for the DNR to properly administer and oversee commercial processors who accept wild animals (for example, deer, elk, and bear) for processing and storage. The owner of any commercial processing operation is also required to maintain records of all wild animals accepted for processing or storage for 90 days.
For questions regarding this registration, please call us at at 517-284-6210.
