Metamora-Hadley Recreation Area - Candle Light Ski or Hike
Valentines Day evening Cross Country Ski a groomed trail through the park illuminated by candles at night. Warm up by the bonfire at the campground host site (next to North Toilet Building). Light refreshments provided. Snowshoes are welcome to walk alongside the groomed ski track as well.
Open to all ages, under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Bring your own skis or snowshoes, dress for the weather. In the event of no snow, this will be a hiking event.
No pre-registration is necessary. Event is free but a Recreation Passport is required for all vehicles entering the park. They will be available to purchase from DNR staff at the event.
A Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into Michigan state parks. To make a camping reservation, visit MIDNRReservations.com or call 1-800-447-2757.

Metamora-Hadley Recreation Area consists of 723 acres with 80-acre Lake Minnewanna in the center Campers, hikers, boaters, anglers, hunters, cross-country skiers and others enjoy a wide variety recreational opportunities throughout the year. The park has a universally accessible fishing pier.
