Turkey brood survey
Help the Michigan DNR Wildlife Division monitor turkey populations by participating in the new annual wild turkey brood survey! Use an easy survey on your phone or computer to help us track adult and young turkeys. This information can help us better understand how turkey populations are doing in Michigan. The survey is only available from July 1 through August 31 each year.
What would I have to do?
- Watch for turkeys, especially hens with young (groups of baby turkeys with a hen or hens are called a brood).
- Complete a survey by answering seven short questions.
- You will need to provide a valid email address when submitting observations. Linking each observation to an email allows us to estimate how many people are contributing observations to the Wild Turkey Brood Survey each year.
- Tell a friend and ask them to participate.
