How to Submit
Manuals can be submitted for review by mail or in-person at our Lansing Office. A manufacturer must submit an application, fee, and three (3) manuals which include the requirements as indicated above.
Once the review is completed, the total charges will be calculated and any amount due will be billed to the applicant. When the manual is approved and all fees paid, two (2) manuals stamped “Approved” with two (2) Certificates of Acceptability will be returned to the applicant. The applicant is then responsible to forward one (1) certificate and one (1) approved manual to the manufacturer’s approved third party inspection agency.
Questions can be directed to the Bureau's construction code plan review program at 517-241-9317.
