Adam Sandoval

Deputy Director

Adam Sandoval is a deputy director and legal advisor at LARA and oversees the Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA), the Bureau of Community and Health Systems (BCHS), the Bureau of Fire Services (BFS), the Michigan Indigent Defense Commission (MIDC), the Michigan Liquor Control Commission (MLCC), the Michigan Office of Administrative Hearings and Rules (MOAHR), the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC), and the Bureau of Survey and Certification (BSC). He most recently served as a division director at the CRA. Before that, Adam served as a deputy legal counsel in the Governor’s Office and as the director of the Office of Regulatory Reinvention. He also previously held positions as an administrative law judge at MOAHR, an appeals coordinator at the Michigan Occupational Safety & Health Administration (MIOSHA) and an investigator with the Wage and Hour Division. Adam has also worked as an attorney in private practice. Adam earned his bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and received his juris doctorate from Cooley Law School.
