How to Make a Fine Payment in MiCLEAR

Important:

For best results, use a desktop or laptop computer. You may have trouble using a mobile device (i.e., Smartphone, iPad, etc.).

Please make sure you have registered with a MiCLEAR account and have linked your license before starting this process. If you have not registered for an account, please visit How to Register for an Account. If you have not linked your account, please visit How to Link your License.

Getting Started

1. Visit www.michigan.gov/MiCLEAR

2. Click on "Login to MiCLEAR"

Step 1: Sign In

1. Enter Username or Email

2. Enter Password

3. Click on "Sign In"

Step 2: Enforcement Tab

Click on the "Enforcement" tab. This will show any outstanding fine balances which need to be paid.

Step 3: Additional Actions

Click directly on the words "Additional Actions."

Step 4: Payment Information

The Payment Due Date, Total Amount Due, and Balance Due will automatically populate with the fine information.

Enter the Payment Amount, then click Continue.

Step 5: Review

Confirm the information on the review page is correct. Click "Continue."

Step 6: Pay Fees

Confirm the amount to be paid is correct. Click "Continue Application."

Step 7: Payment

Step 7a: Payment Method

Click on “Next” to be taken to the Payment Information page.

Step 7b: Payment Information

Complete the payment information form by entering your First and Last Name, Street Address, Zip Code and current E-mail Address.

Make sure the name and address you enter matches the billing name and address on the credit card you are using to pay for license fees. A payment confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided.

Click on “Next” to be taken to the Payment Review page.

Step 7c: Payment Review

Review the payment information.

Click on the Box next to "I Agree" to confirm payment information.

Click on "Pay Now" to submit the application.

Record Issuance

Once payment is accepted, the record issuance screen will appear, letting you know that your payment has been submitted. If you do not see confirmation that your payment has been successfully submitted, please contact us at (517) 241-9180 or LARA-CSCL-Order-Monitoring@Michigan.gov.

Please note the Record Number. You will need this number to check the status of your complaint.
