How to Upload Insurance Documents in MiCLEAR
Important:
For best results, use a desktop or laptop computer. You may have trouble using a mobile device (i.e., Smartphone, iPad, etc.).Please make sure you have registered with a MiCLEAR account and have linked your license before starting this process. Getting Started
Step 1: Sign In
1. Enter Username or Email
2. Enter Password
3. Click on "Sign In"
Step 2: Insurance
- Click on the “Licenses” tab.
- Locate your record number and you will find next to it, the words “Additional Actions”.
- Click directly on the words “Additional Actions.” Do not click on your record number.
Clicking on the words “Additional Actions” will take you directly to the Update Insurance Coverage section.
Step 3: Select an Amendment Type
- Click on the radio button next to "Update Insurance Coverage"
- Click on “Continue”
Step 4: Insurance Information

Step 4a: Adding a Document
Documents can be uploaded by clicking the “Add” button.

Step 4b: File Upload Add
Click on "Add". You will need to find the desired saved document on your computer (double click on it.)

Step 4c:File Upload Continue
Clicking on the document on your computer will upload the file. Click on “Continue”.

Step 4d: Attachment Type
Click on the dropdown next to "Type" and select the type of document that you are attaching.

Step 4e: Attachment Save
Click on "Save"

Step 4f: Upload Successful and Continue
- A green banner will appear at the top of this section showing the insurance attachment has been successfully uploaded.
- Verify that the correct document has been attached.
- Click on the “Continue” button to proceed to the “Review” section.
Step 5: Review
Once everything has been reviewed, click on "Continue."
Record Issuance
The record issuance screen will appear, letting you know that your application has been submitted. We see many insurance coverage applications started but not submitted so if you do not see confirmation that your application has been successfully submitted, please contact us at (517) 241-9221 or CSCLOnline@michigan.gov. (Records beginning with TMP have not been submitted for review.)
Once successfully submitted, your Updated Insurance Coverage is placed in your responsible worker’s queue to review for completeness and accuracy. Your submission of the documents do not mean it is acceptable and approved. If anything further is needed, you will be contacted.
