Employee Background Check Information

  • Is a background check required of all employees?

    Yes. A licensee must run a state and national criminal history background check of all prospective employees if the prospective employee will be a direct provider of the security business.

  • Are employee background checks required to be submitted to the Department?

    No. Employee background checks do not need to be submitted to the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA).
