Polygraph Examiners (Lie-Detector Testing)
Effective July 15, 2007, the Board of Forensic Polygraph Examiners was abolished by Executive Order No. 2007 - 24. By means of the Executive Order all functions of the board were transferred to the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs. The department is responsible for the licensing and regulating of forensic polygraph examiners and interns under Public Act 295 of 1972. Polygraph examiners detect deception, verify truthfulness or provide a diagnostic opinion of either, through the use of an instrument or mechanical device.
