Renewing a License
Polygraph Examiner licenses expire annually on December 31. Renewal remindeers are mailed in October to the most current mailing address on file with the department. If you fail to meet all renewal requirements by the expiration date of your license, you may be subject to disciplinary action if you continue to practice as a Polygraph Examiner without a license. If you fail to renew by December 31, a new application and license fee is required to be submitted online in MiCLEAR.
Polygraph Intern licenses expire six months after issuance and may be renewed for an additional six month period. Renewal reminders are mailed to interns approximately 60 days prior to the expiration of their license.
Address changes for Polygraph Examiners and Interns are required to be reported, in writing, within 10 days of any change. If changes need to be made to the licensee's address, they must be completed online in MiCLEAR.
