Heather Keller: director of apprentice training programs at MedCerts
April 24, 2026
Heather Keller has served as the Director of Apprentice Training Programs at MedCerts since 2019.
MedCerts is an online education provider that helps employer partners build United States Department of Labor, Office of Apprenticeship-approved Registered Apprenticeship Programs for high‑demand Allied Healthcare and IT careers.
With 25 years of experience in education, Heather was one of Michigan’s first Registered Apprenticeship Group Sponsors (Intermediaries). She is an expert in helping employers create new programs or expand existing ones, making Registered Apprenticeship a simple and effective workforce solution.
“Registered Apprenticeship is the best way for someone to enter a new occupation because of the on‑job-training, and one of my favorite parts of my job is providing individuals with that opportunity.” Heather said. “I also really enjoy working with employers and helping them find solutions to workforce shortages. One of the big advantages of MedCerts is that because the curriculum is on‑demand and online, learners have more flexibility in when they study, opening opportunities to a wider pool of potential apprentices.”
Outside of work, Heather is an avid fisherwoman. In November 2025, she completed her big‑game fishing bucket list by landing two marlins.
