Visitor centers host nature exhibits and have access to nearby trails. For those that seek a more engaging educational experience, each visitor center has professional interpreters who lead nature-oriented programs. It is a great place to take your class on a field trip, or to take your family to learn more about Michigan's natural resources.
DNR visitor centers are now open with reduced days and hours of operation. Please visit each location’s web page for more information. We strongly recommend calling before you go, as staffing issues could change posted hours of operation.
Please note, the visitor centers at Oden State Fish Hatchery and Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery are open; however, other hatchery buildings, including visitor centers at other hatcheries, remain closed to the public.
