You must display a valid Recreation Passport on your resident motor vehicle, motorcycle or commercial motor vehicle to enter any Michigan state park, recreation area, state forest campground, designated boating access site or parking lot, trailhead, recreation staging area or access site related to trails/pathways. The Recreation Passport is valid for one year and/or until the license plate registration expires.
At the time of park entry, if a Recreation Passport cannot be purchased from a booth attendant or at the headquarters building/camp office, a visitor may purchase a RP by utilizing the self-registration envelope.
