Hiring seasonal worker in state parks this summer

If you love Michigan’s great outdoors and are looking for a seasonal position with flexible hours, come out and work where you play! Join the more than 1,200 seasonal park workers hired each summer/fall to work in Michigan's 103 state parks, state forest campgrounds, boating access sites and harbors.

Did you know that many DNR Parks and Recreation Division employees started their careers with the department as seasonal park workers and then – after gaining valuable experience – transitioned to opportunities as rangers, park supervisors, accountants, trail coordinators and many other positions?

These important positions are key to shaping the customer experience at Michigan state parks, which welcome 28 million visitors a year. As the “face” of Michigan state parks, you'll answer visitor questions, register campers, clean park buildings, maintain trails, mow grass and get creative in finding ways to help visitors create some lifelong memories. These positions truly can make a difference in helping people fall in love with nature, camping, hiking, boating and more, and might just start you on a lifelong career path, too.

Positions may qualify for academic or internship credit (applicants should contact their academic advisor for eligibility requirements).
