Five-Year Recreation Plan
Community park, recreation, open space and greenways plans are commonly referred to as a "five-year recreation plan."
To be eligible to apply for Land and Water Conservation Fund, Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund and Waterways grants, a community must have an approved five-year plan on file with the DNR by Feb. 1 of the year they intend to apply.
To be eligible for Recreation Passport grants, a community must either have an approved five-year plan on file with the DNR in MiGrants by Feb. 1 of the year they intend to apply or submit a capital improvement plan with their application.
