Proposed Oil and Gas Lease Auction:
The Department of Natural Resources is proposing to offer for lease approximately 5,400 acres of state-managed public oil and gas rights, located in 15 counties, at an online auction on October 27, 2026. A standard lease includes a five-year primary term with two one-year extension options, 1/6 royalty rate, minimum bid of $10.00 per acre, and $2.00 per acre annual rental for the primary term.
