Geocaching

Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location. It's a fun way to explore the outdoors, while joining 3 million other geocachers looking for millions of caches all over the world.

Visit Geocaching.com to find caches hidden throughout the parks and recreation system.

  • Navigate to the Adventure location and follow the instructions in the description.
  • Once the location is found, answer the question to receive the code word.
  • Record the code word from each location in your log.

What is an Adventure Lab? It's a new platform that allows you to create, play and share location-based experiences – similar to geocaching. The Adventure Lab app guides you through the process of finding clues, solving puzzles and completing adventures one location at a time.

Thanks to Michigan Geocaching Organization and Jay’s Sporting Goods for helping to create this one-of-a-kind quest!
