Enjoy a lantern-lit snowshoe hike along the 1.25-mile Old Growth Trail, winding through towering old pines and hemlocks. A cozy campfire will be waiting at the Logging Museum for you to enjoy. Visit us anytime between 5:30–8:30 PM; no preregistration required.
Trails may be icy, so yak-tracks and/or ski poles are recommended.

The Hartwick Pines Visitor Center, at Hartwick Pines State Park, draws thousands of visitors, campers and school children each year to see one of Michigan's last stands of majestic old-growth pine forest. Miles of trails offer hikers of all ages and abilities the chance to explore the diverse wildlife and forest landscapes. The year-round, fully accessible visitor center is a gateway to the towering pine forest and the Hartwick Pines Logging Museum. The exhibit hall inside the visitor center explores Michigan's forests on a journey through time beginning with the Ice Age.
The center also has an auditorium that holds 105 guests and a classroom that holds up to 35 guests. Call the Hartwick Pines Visitor Center for reservations 989-348-2537.
