The COVE Benefit Beach Walk/Run features a 5K walk/run and a 10K run, both starting and finishing at Charles Mears State Park. All races are officially timed by RunSignUp.com (Runner’s Edge), with age group awards presented across all events.
The 5K course includes a mix of pavement, dirt roads, and approximately half a mile along the beach. Depending on weather conditions, participants may encounter waves from Lake Michigan and should be prepared to get their feet wet. The 10K run follows a similar route, with an extended 2.5-mile stretch along the shoreline—offering a unique and scenic racing experience.

Early registration is $30 for all races through July 27, 2026. Late and same-day registration will be $35 after that date.
Please note: This is a pet-free event, as sections of the course include areas where animals are not permitted on the beach.
