Thompson State Fish Hatchery
Open at no charge to the public. Tours and visitor center are self-guided and open daily, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Buildings are locked after 3:30 pm, but visitors are still welcome to tour outside. Please call in advance to schedule guided group tours: 906-341-5587 ext. 201.
This facility was established in 1922 and produces the following species for both inland and Great Lakes waters:
- Chinook salmon
- Muskellunge
- Steelhead
- Walleye
