Counseling Examination Information

The board approves and adopts the National Counselor Examination and the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination developed by the National Board for Certified Counselors. The passing score for the National Counselor Examination and the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination is the passing score established by the National Board for Certified Counselors.

The board approves and adopts the certification examination developed by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification. The passing score on the certification examination shall be the passing score established by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification.

Applicants must pass one of these exams.  Certification of your examination scores must be provided to the Bureau by the examination agency.
