Welcome to the Michigan Board of Dietetics and Nutrition website! Our goal is to provide up-to-date information on various topics related to the practice of dietetics and nutrition in Michigan. We hope you find this information helpful and invite you to check out our website often.
Recent legislation (Public Act 39 of 2024) amended the Michigan Public Health Code, 1978 PA 368, to establish licensing of dietitian nutritionists in Michigan. However, this law will likely not go into effect until early 2025. At that time the Michigan Board of Dietetics and Nutrition will be formed and begin the process of promulgating rules governing the profession. Licensing of the profession cannot begin until after rules are promulgated.
