Welcome to the Michigan Board of Dietetics and Nutrition website! Our goal is to provide up-to-date information on various topics related to the practice of dietetics and nutrition in Michigan. We hope you find this information helpful and invite you to check out our website often.

Public Act 39 of 2024 amended the Michigan Public Health Code, 1978 PA 368, to establish licensing of dietitian nutritionists in Michigan. However, licensing of the profession cannot begin until after administrative rules are promulgated by the Board.

Members of the Board of Dietetics and Nutrition were appointed by the Governor on April 25, 2025.  Please visit this page for updates on the regulatory process.
