About the Michigan Register
The Michigan Register is a comprehensive source of regulatory information that complements and supplements the Michigan Administrative Code. It contains copies of all proposed administrative rules, notices of public hearings on proposed administrative rules, and administrative rules filed with the secretary of state as submitted by Michigan departments and agencies.
In addition, the Michigan Register contains valuable information about state government, including (1) executive orders and executive reorganization orders, (2) on a cumulative basis, the numbers and subject matter of the enrolled senate and house bills signed into law by the governor during the calendar year and the corresponding public act numbers, (3) on a cumulative basis, the numbers and subject matter of the enrolled senate and house bills vetoed by the governor during the calendar year, (4) emergency rules filed with the secretary of state, (5) notice of proposed and adopted agency guidelines, (6) attorney general opinions, and (7) other official information considered necessary or appropriate by the state office of administrative hearings and rules
The Administrative Rules Division (ARD) publishes the Michigan Register twice per month. Beginning with 2000 MR 3, April 17, 2000, all issues of the Michigan Register published by ARD appear on this website. For earlier issues of the Michigan Register, please contact the Library of Michigan or the State Law Library.
