Information regarding the Michigan Department of Civil Rights
Michigan Office of Administrative Hearings and Rules conducts hearings related to alleged violations of the Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act and related Acts, which prohibit discriminatory practices, policies and customs based upon religion, race, color, national origin, age, sex, height, weight, familial status, disability or marital status.
A person who alleges discriminatory practices should file a complaint with the Michigan Department of Civil Rights (MDCR) prior to proceeding to an administrative hearing.
