January 24, 2017 - The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) has served an order immediately suspending East Lansing physician Lawrence Gerard Nassar’s license to practice as an osteopathic physician.
On January 24, 2017, LARA issued an order summarily suspending Nassar’s license pursuant to the Public Health Code, which provides for the summary suspension of a health professional’s license when the public health, safety, or welfare requires emergency action.
LARA filed an Administrative Complaint in this matter alleging that Nassar sexually abused a minor.
