February 28, 2020 – The Dept. of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) has issued two summary suspensions and two notices of intent to revoke the adult foster care small group home licenses (here and here) for Holly Purdy. The adult foster care small group homes are located at 3297 Dewdrop Lane, Howell and 10638 North Rushton Road, Suite 3, South Lyon.
LARA’s actions resulted from a February 7, 2020 complaint investigation conducted at both adult foster care small group home locations. The investigation found violations of the Adult Foster Care Facility Licensing Act and administrative rules, specifically prescription narcotic diversion by the licensee.
LARA took emergency action to protect the health, welfare, and safety of vulnerable adults; fifteen residents residing in these facilities were immediately relocated.
Effective February 27, 2020, the summary suspension order prohibits Purdy from operating an adult foster care small group home at 3297 Dewdrop Lane, Howell and at 10638 North Rushton Road, Suite 3, South Lyon or at any other address or location. Accordingly, she may not accept physically handicapped, developmentally disabled, mentally ill or aged adults for care after that date and time. The order also requires the licensee to inform all the guardians of adults in her care that the license has been suspended and that she can no longer provide adult foster care services.
