Marijuana Regulatory Agency Announces Marijuana Licensing Workgroup

August 21, 2020 – The Marijuana Regulatory Agency (MRA) is facilitating a stakeholder workgroup to discuss and provide suggestions on the marijuana licensing process related to the Medical Marihuana Facilities Licensing Act (MMFLA) and the Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marihuana Act (MRTMA). This workgroup will focus solely on receiving feedback from stakeholders regarding the MMFLA and MRTMA licensing processes. The workgroup is not intended to solicit feedback regarding testing or enforcement issues.

This workgroup will be held:

     Date:      Monday, September 21, 2020
     Time:     1:00 PM – 3:30 PM
     Place:    Online (Zoom)

Individuals interested in participating in the marijuana licensing workgroup must send an email to MRA-Adult-Use-Marijuana@michigan.gov with the following information:

• WORKGROUP in the subject line of the email
   
• The body of the email must contain the following information:
  - Your name
  - Mailing address
  - Email address
  - Phone number
  - Occupation or job title and the name of the employer or organization that you are affiliated with

The MRA will consider all email requests that meet these requirements, and any additional relevant information when establishing the stakeholder workgroup. Requests and inquiries made via telephone or to other MRA contacts may not be accepted. The MRA will give preference in the selection of participants to individuals who have not previously participated in an MRA workgroup.

The deadline to email your request to participate in the licensing stakeholder workgroup is Monday, August 31, 2020 at 9:00 AM. Selections for the workgroup will be announced by Friday, September 4, 2020. If you are chosen for a workgroup you will be notified directly by the MRA with further details.
