The Cannabis Regulatory Agency’s (CRA) social equity team is excited to announce that the Social Equity Grant Program (SEGP) will be returning for Fiscal Year 2026! One million dollars will be divided equally between qualifying entities.
To make sure that your entity is prepared to apply – between November 1, 2025 and November 30, 2025 - for a share of the available SEGP funds, please be sure to do the following today:

                                - Verify that the applicant has eligible Social Equity Program participants – who have been approved by the CRA for the program and are active in the program – and have majority ownership (over 50%) of the entity.
- Confirm participation in the CRA Social Equity All-Star Program. Applicants will need to have applied and become a certified participant in the CRA Social Equity All-Star Program prior to applying for the SEGP.
- Consider the manner in which the funds will be used. SEGP funds may be used:
                                - To allow employees to take classes or courses that are relevant to the applicant’s business from an accredited institution.
- For business needs, including payroll and/or any expenses that allow the applicant to remain compliant with licensing and regulatory statutes and rules.
- On community investment opportunities, including donating to organizations, non-profits, and/or charities that positively impact the community in which the applicant is located.
