MRS helps customer get training to find job
October 15, 2025
Jason came to Michigan Rehabilitation Services (MRS) seeking assistance with finding a short-term training program that would assist with his re-entry into the workforce. He had experience as a truck driver but wanted to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Jason worked with his MRS counselor to enroll in a four-week CDL training program through Coast-to-Coast Truck Driving School. After completing the program, Jason passed his exam and was able to obtain his CDL.
“I’m very grateful to my vocational rehabilitation counselor and MRS in helping me obtain my CDL and for checking up on me over the last year,” shared Jason. “I was able to obtain employment to support myself.”
Jason is currently working as a long-haul truck driver for Veriha Trucking.
