MRS helps customer find a more suitable job
May 13, 2026
Matthew began working with Michigan Rehabilitation Services (MRS) during his senior year of high school. After graduation, he participated in Project Search where he successfully completed the program and began building workplace skills.
Matthew initially secured employment at Little Caesars; however, he faced challenges with attendance and maintaining consistent engagement. Recognizing that he needed additional support to succeed, Matthew made the decision to reapply for services through MRS.
With renewed determination, Matthew was fully engaged in services to address his barriers to employment. MRS provided guidance and counseling, job readiness training, job placement assistance, and ongoing job coaching. Through this support, Matthew developed the skills and confidence needed to succeed in the workplace.
As a result, Matthew obtained part-time employment at Country Market in the bottle department – a position that has proven to be a great fit. Matthew enjoys his job and has gained confidence. He is now able to consistently maintain his schedule, arrive at work on time and complete his job duties successfully.
Matthew’s family credit his success with his determination and critical guidance and support he received through MRS.
