MRS helps customer get certification to help others
June 25, 2026
Willie has overcome many obstacles while achieving his career goals. He first began working with Michigan Rehabilitation Services (MRS) after an accident in September 2022 left him with broken bones across his entire body.
Willie’s recovery required a long journey through the healthcare system, including stays in nursing homes and extensive physical and occupational home therapy. After experiencing the care system firsthand—seeing both excellent support and areas that fell short—Willie had a clear realization.
No stranger to the impact a great healthcare provider can have on someone’s life, Willie knew he wanted to use his life to help people navigate their own recoveries.
With the help of MRS, Willie received his CNA certificate through Yes We CNA where he learned the skills and fundamentals to assist individuals with their daily living activities.
Willie proudly passed his skills and knowledge CNA exams on the first try and he is now in a position to do what he loves while also helping families with proper care to sustain their life.
Willie plans to open his own private care business in the future. He wants to continue to use his personal understanding of patient recovery to lead his company, ensuring that the individuals his team serves receive dependable, dignified, and high-quality care.
